To the Editor:

On behalf of all of us who participated in "An Afternoon of Fabulous Style" Fashion Show, Style Workshop and Luncheon to benefit the Manchester Community Library, Lu French and I would like to thank the many businesses and individuals who made this a successful event.

Equinox Village provided a wonderful venue. Many thanks to Ashley Brenon Jowett, Kirt Sampson, and Carmine Cole for being such gracious and accommodating hosts. We had a fantastic turnout and are very grateful to everyone who attended. Linda McKeever gave a wonderful address, our local celebrity models shined and the entire event was very well received.

Many thanks to our title sponsor: Orvis and our event sponsors: Carol O'Connor & Andrea Kaplan, of Lang McLaughry Real Estate, Elizabeth Alden of Merrill Lynch, Finn & Stone, Long Ago & Far Away, The Image Loft, Manchester Consignment House, Manchester Designer Outlets, and WH Shaw Insurance.

Express Copy very graciously donated their printing services and Mark and Melody French of The Silver Fork were happy to donate the fabulous wine that was served. Our fashion show retailers and shopping spree raffle participants were Orvis, Ann Taylor, Overland, Brooks Brother, Armani, Loft, Joy ~ all things underthings, Hidden Jewel, Green Door Day Spa, Mother Myricks, Mountain Goat, Heinel's Clothiers, and Michael Rodriguez Hairdressing. Thank you all! Many thanks to our volunteers: Raffle maven, Debbie Reimer and her dashing helpers, Clark French and Ariel Rudiakov; photographer Morgan French, Paul Mademann, Betsy Bleakie and the staff of the Mark Skinner Library.

Finally, we would like to thank our beautiful models for their time and enthusiasm; Carolyn Brogan, Vicki Burgess, Joanna Genova, Mary Jo Gourd, Nina Mooney, Gloria Palmer, Jackie Swanson, and Chris Vanderzyden. Bravo ladies! All in all, we're pleased to have raised some funds and awareness of the new library project in a fun and entertaining way and are happy with the show of support and camaraderie from friends, family, and community.
