It has been a long suffering period for our family with the passing of our mother and aunt Ethel "Jean" Nacy Nichols. The Alzheimers Disease that she succumbed to is just an awful lengthy process. We are hoping soon that there will be a cure, and have joined the association to work toward this. We would like to thank The Center for Living and Rehab in Bennington; the staff there was just remarkable and soothing, Dr Michael Welther; who stood by our side, Rev. Wayne Bell who was with us in the mornings and evenings throughout, Rev. Skip Dickenson and Rev. Jim Gray, Jane from the Dorset Church, Terry and Helen Tyler, Tom at Brewster/Shea Funeral Services, Linda Spence/ Manchester Town Clerk, Travis Wood and Donna from Maplefields for the pastries and entrees, Melanie Allen for the remarkable lasagna from Gourmet Deli, Christo from Christos for the fine pizza, Alan Danforth and Art Fitch for the beautiful desserts, Paul Burroughs from Another Way Out for the transportation, Don and Pat Dorr, Shaftsbury Auto Body, nieces and nephews near and far for the flowers, The Orvis Company team, Mary Jane and Dick Kitteridge, the donations and gifts received for the Manchester Firefighters Association and The Jean N. and Kenneth J Nichols Scholarship at Burr and Burton, the several facebook friends condolences, the some 150 sympathy cards - you don't know how much the cards and words mean, the local neighbors: Kelli Graham, Skip and Jackie Sargood, Tricia Heinel, John and Alice Holzhauer, Phyllis Beattie Dickey for the fine organ music, to all the paul bearers, to my special love Angie Loveland, all the funeral attendees, to Bonnie Haubrich for all the kind words, Deb and Ken Loseby from Florida for all their support, and the Manchester. Arlington and Bennington Community for the kind support. You are all the best.
Steve and Jeff Nichols, Donna Bushee
