The Manchester Lions Club's recent second annual Elf Express was a tremendous success, in spite of the wet weather. Mr. and Mrs. Claus, the Elves, Christopher Pop-In-Kins, and the train have all left Manchester but the memories linger on! Such an event takes the support of the businesses in town, and the Lions Club would like to take this opportunity to thank its many sponsors: Manchester Designer Outlets, r. k. Miles, The Vermont Country Store, Haskins Gas Service, Spiral Press/The Perfect Wife, Sherrie's Cafe, The Inn at Willow Pond, Casella, The Chocolate Barn, American Museum of Fly Fishing, Aubuchon Hardware, Arlington Roofing, Bagel Works, Bank of Bennington, Bee's Hallmark & Wildflowers Florist, Bob's Diner, Brasserie L'Oustau, Brown Enterprises, Bromley Mountain, Casablanca Motel, Christmas Days, Don & Doris Dall'Ava, Dee's Electric, Donald Dorr, Dorset Exchange, Dutton's, Express Copy, Equinox Valley Nursery, GNAT-TV, Gringo Jack's, Heinel's, Heilemann Ottsen & Ottsen Dental Offices, Hidden Jewel/Toys in the Attic, Homestead Landscaping, Long Ago and Far Away, Long Trail Auto, Magic Sleigh, Manchester and the Mountains Regional Chamber of Commerce, Manchester House Consignments, Manchester Power House, Maplefields, McWayne Jewelers, Mother Myrick's, Nina's Jewelry, Northshire Bookstore, Olympia Lodge, P&F Appliance, Pam's Hair Studio, Pets Etc.
The funds raised through this event and other Lions Club events are returned to the community with donations to organizations such as the Arlington Food Shelf, Manchester Food Cupboard, Neighbor to Neighbor, Interfaith Council, The Bart Center, Burr & Burton and many others. In addition, annual scholarships are awarded to local high school students.
Again, we thank the local businesses for their generous support.
