I would like to thank all of the people who made Art on the Hill a huge success this year.
Thank you to Manchester Woodcraft for donating materials, Shawn Brillon from Orvis and son Riley, for setting up a wonderful fly-tying and fishing table, Laura Henderson from The Mark Skinner Library and her "I Dig the New Library" paint a pet rock table. Thanks so much to Dave Van de Water from Artifact/Marketing Design for all his design work and marketing materials.
A big thank you to Courtney Callo from Long Trail School and all of her students who sold hot dogs and helped kids make beautiful autumn collages. For the wonderful live music I'd like to thank Geoffrey Gee and his Long Trail Band and student musicians who kept the music rockin' for four hours straight. I'd like to thank Kate Gridley, an artist whose art work is currently featured in our Elizabeth de C. Wilson Museum. Kate guided young artists through the process of painting self-portraits. Her time and presence was a huge bonus!
Thank you to the BBA students who volunteered throughout the day to face paint and supervise kids making wooden sculptures and fairy houses.
Thank you to Anne Pearce who supervised the button making table. Thank you to Kathleen James who donated her Spin Art Machine. And last but not least, thank you so much to Stacy Gates who lent us not only her awesome button-making machine, but gave me her valuable time, support and input.
It was great day!
