To the Editor:
Teamwork makes the dream work. Once again a team of donors, volunteers and buyers (and Mother Nature) came together on Saturday, July 13, for the Bennington Area Habitat for Humanity Auction & Tag Sale. A heartfelt thank you all those who supported this major fund raiser by making a donation for the event and to those that were on hand to snap up the bargains including a Yamaha 125 cc motor scooter, a LL Bean canoe, three kayaks and an inflatable boat. A special thank you to the community businesses, professionals and organizations who include: Andy Tarantino at A Safe Place Self Storage for year round storage and auction venue; Clarke Comollo, auctioneer; Calvin Loven of Brandon for tents; Harold Beebe and Dave Kutchukian for more tents; signage from Wood & Signs (Richard Farley) and Santelli Signs (Shadow); C & J Sanitation (Cory & Jason Stoddard); Gourmet Deli (Melanie Allen); Casella Waste Management (dumpster); Pad Print for parking and especially the Guide, Manchester Journal, Bennington Banner, Rutland Herald and Free Press for publicity. Hurrahs for the registrars, auction runners, cashiers, tag sale workers for more than 40 in all including seven from Boy Scout Troup 332 and members of some of our Habitat Partners - Jenks, Lewis, Cooper, Gordon and Shum. Thank you all.

Proceeds from our annual auction support BAHfH projects, our 15th home for Shannon and Lori Gordon and their five kids currently in progress on Jennifer Lane in Manchester, and A Brush with Kindness - minor interior and exterior repairs for qualifying homes in the Southshire.

Habitat for Humanity is all about volunteers, team work, partnerships and community. Thank you all for supporting the work of Bennington Area Habitat.
