To the Editor:

On Saturday, Sept. 22, over 5,000 people visited the village of Peru for our annual fair that benefits the Peru Scholarship Fund which provides equal grants to all town students pursuing a higher education on a full time basis. It was a wonderful day and a great success, enjoyed by all.

None of this would be possible without the volunteer efforts of over 70 area residents and the support of numerous local businesses - notably: Bromley Mountain, Johnny Seesaw's, Bromley Sun Lodge, Northshire Bookstore, Mother Myrick's, Casella Waste Management, Manchester Bar & Grill, J K Adams, P & F Appliances, American Grill, Olympia Lodge, Clark's IGA, Garlic John's Restaurant, Weston Playhouse, Village Christmas Shop (Weston), Season's Restaurant, Manchester Carpet, Perfect Wife, Waterwheel Quilt Shop, Jake's Café, Shaw's Market, Landgrove Inn, Glebe Mountain Nursery, Dorset Inn, Tater Hill Golf Course, Vermont Country Store, Eastern Mountain Sports, Aubuchon Hardware, Ye Olde Tavern, Price Chopper, R. K. Miles, Spiral Press Café, Londonderry Hardware, Pet Cetera, Mill Tavern, Ben & Jerry's, Manchester Country Club.

We thank you all for your continued support. Without your participation, our event would not be the successful community effort it is.
