MANCHESTER >> The holidays are almost here and at the Community Food Cupboard is gearing up for Thanksgiving. November is their busiest month and this year they expect to serve about 300 families. The food cupboard is seeking donations of non-perishable items such as cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, chicken broth, flour, sugar, and canned green beans. A $25 donation will allow them provide a turkey, fresh vegetables, and all of the essentials for a Thanksgiving dinner.
Donations of non-perishable items can be dropped off outside their door in the Manchester Town Hall, or in the donation bin at Shaw's Supermarket or the Manchester Community Library. Turkeys or perishable items can be brought to CFC on Wednesdays or Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Donations of funds may be mailed to CFC, PO Box 864, Manchester Center VT 05255.
