DORSET>> Green Mountain Academy will host a fermentation workshop with herbalist Danielle Laberge on Sunday, July 10 from 1-3 p.m. The workshop will take place at the Laberge Barn in Dorset.

Fermented foods are the most traditional super-foods, containing live cultures of beneficial bacteria necessary for gut health. Start your own live cultures of traditional sauerkraut and kombucha, a fermented tea beverage, and learn the simple knack of keeping these cultures growing strong for your own health benefits. This participatory class will cover troubleshooting cultures gone wrong, adding flavors to the standard recipes, and you will leave with your own kombucha starter. Preregistration is required and costs $20.
