GetBalance Exercise Class
Tuesdays, 10 - 10:45 a.m.
GetBalance features gentle and fun seated and standing rhythmic movement to increase balance and agility. Standing movements can be done supported or from a free-standing position. GetBalance is presented by Cornerstone Fitness and created and led by Chris Uchida: a personal trainer, past professional dancer, and licensed physical therapy assistant. The cost is $15 per class for the general public, $10 per class for Cornerstone Fitness Clinic members, and free for Equinox Village residents. Tai Chi for Seniors
Wednesdays, 10 a.m.
Rich Marantz of Green Mountain Tai Chi leads interested seniors toward health and happiness using the methods and philosophies of Tai-chi chuan, Qigong and traditional Chinese external-qi healing. Chair Yoga with Anna
Fridays, 3 -- 3:45 p.m.
Certified Yoga instructor Anna Bushee leads the class. She completed her training at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis. Exercises in this class are done from a seated or supported standing position. Caregiver Support Group
3 p.m., for eight weeks beginning Wednesday, July 10
Elizabeth Fredland, LICSW, and Monica Knorr, MSW, both therapists at The Spicer Center in Manchester, are offering an eight-week support group for caregivers beginning July 10 at Equinox Village. This group can offer help to those who are providing care for aging parents, a spouse or a disabled child. Nordic Harmoni Scandinavian Concert
Sunday, Sept. 8, 4 p.m.
In 2001, a group of singers from Londonderry made a great decision - to start a Scandinavian-American chorus. Now, 12 years later, the chorus belongs to the American Union of Swedish Singers and has more than 25 members. Rehearsals are held at the Second Congregational Church in Londonderry under the direction of Ken Olsson. Join Equinox Village residents for a concert of traditional Scandinavian music. Free and open to the public. Refreshments and time to socialize after the concert.
Right-Sizing your Move

Art Class: Drawing by Gesture
Thursdays, Sept. 12, 19, 26 and Oct. 3, 11a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Instructor Tony Conner will guide students through a class that emphasizes capturing the important essence of the subject, rather than the exact details and proportions. Attendees will work with charcoal paper and work from direct observation of traditional still life objects, floral arrangements and perhaps even the clothed human figure. Class participants may bring their own materials or use those provided by the instructor for an additional fee. The class fee is $50. The optional materials fee is $10.
