Self-management programs help people build confidence in their ability to manage their own health and maintain active, fulfilling lives. Chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, arthritis, lung disease, fibromyalgia and chronic pain do not have to inhibit daily lives. Trained facilitators using evidence-based guidelines will share skills and techniques to help balance lives with self-care and support from others with similar concerns and problems. Those who attend the class can expect to learn about problem-solving, stress management, nutrition, making informed treatment decisions and much more. These classes are also open to spouses, partners or caregivers.
