MANCHESTER - The body of an elderly man was discovered at the Manchester Recreation Park last Thursday, Oct. 4.

The Manchester Police Department has declined to reveal the man's name, owing to the circumstances of the man's passing.

The police were first notified of the death shortly after 6 a.m. on Oct. 4.

Cpl. James Blanchard handled the investigation and said afterwards that the death did not appear to be suspicious or the result of foul play.

Police believe there is no danger to the public or to patrons of the park.

The police investigation has been concluded and the case is considered closed, the police said on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
