Spirited in Lenox will host the Bonny Doon Winemaker Dinner with special guest winemaker/owner Randall Graham on Friday, Sept. 9, at Gedney Farm in New Marlborough.
Bonny Doon Vineyard has enjoyed a long history of innovation – the first to truly popularize Rhône grapes in California, the first to utilize microbullage in California, the first to popularize screwcaps for premium wines.
Gedney Farm's culinary team has paired their inspired cuisine to Bonny Doon Vineyard distinctive wines for the dinner event.

Berkshire Ferments will hold its 2nd Annual Berkshire Fermentation Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Great Barrington Fairgrounds.
Last year's fest was a huge success with about 800 attendees and organizers are confident that this year's festival will be bigger and better. There will be local cultured food vendors sampling and selling their products, demonstrations, lectures, culture swap, science corner, book signings, games, live music and more.
The Bidwell House Museum will host a workshop, "Methods of Food Preservation," from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10.

Lions Club barbecue
The Hinsdale Lions Club will hold a chicken barbecue from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, at the club, Maple Street, Hinsdale.
The menu includes barbecue chicken, baked potato, corn on the cob, beverage and dessert. The cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children younger than 12

Festival of Sharing Roots
The 14th Annual St. Joseph Festival of Sharing Roots will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, on the grounds of St. Joseph Parish at 414 North St., Pittsfield.
Entertainment featuring local musicians will begin at 12:30 p.m. American, African, Brazilian, French, Irish, Italian, Lebanese and Polish food will be available. There also will be a food basket, toy basket and lottery ticket and 50/50 raffles. The craft area will be displaying goods for sale.
Admission and the Kiddy Land are free. Bring a lawn chair for an afternoon of fun and enjoyment.
