MANCHESTER - Water your flowers. Sharpen your scissors. Manchester's Cut Flower Contest is free and open to any person who wishes to enter a cut flower arrangement; entries must be brought to Tilting at Windmills Gallery, 24 Highland Ave. and Depot Street in Manchester Center on Sunday, July 21 between 2 and 3 p.m.

All fresh-cut floral arrangements will be on display for the public during the event, and then brought to Equinox Terrace to brighten up the public spaces for all residents to enjoy.

It is free to enter and enjoy the flowers, floral fine art exhibition and refreshments and is a collaboration between Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning, Equinox Terrace, The Image Loft, Tilting at Windmills Gallery and Eons Creative.

Refreshments provided by Equinox Terrace: fresh squeezed lemonade, assorted tea sandwiches, salmon dill crepe rolls, fine cheeses with crackers & fruit, petits fours, mini cheesecakes and a cookie selection.
