The first in a series with Stacy Gates, owner of Create with Bogate, Manchester arts and crafts studio: Saturday, July 20, 2 to 4 p.m Felting Frenzy!: Use a special barbed needle to compress loose wool fibers & turn them into solid objects, including paintings, sculptures, jewelry and accessories.
Different needle felting techniques will be demonstrated.
Saturday, August 17, 2 to 4 p.m.: Shrink plastic has come a long way since the Shrinky Dinks of the 70s. After drawing on this thin, plastic film, it is cooked briefly, emerging thick & rigid at about 40% its original size. Plastic comes in different colors and some can go through an inkjet printer. Discover the different looks and objects that you can make from this simple material.
Books, kits, and supplies will be available at each demonstration to purchase.
Finished items will be on display and for sale.
