He is such an amazing talent, and to start off our season with him and Theresa Rebeck is about as good as it gets," said Dina Janis, the artistic director of the theatre festival.

In addition to the four Main Stage productions, DTF will continue its contributions to new play development with its presentation of three original works by nationally recognized playwrights Adam Rapp, Samuel Hunter and the musical writing team of Tajlei Levis and John Mercurio. The season will finish with a special presentation in September of the acclaimed one man show This Verse Business/Robert Frost, featuring TV star Gordon Clapp. "We are excited to continue to bring hit plays starring the most talented actors, designers and directors working today to this beautiful region. Nothing thrills me more than presenting good plays, whether they are from the classic canon or cutting edge - plays that make you think and feel something - theatre that matters," Janis said.

THE SCENE By Theresa Rebeck Directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt Starring Tim Daly (rest of cast TBA)

Rebeck's biting comedy tracks the story of the New York City show business world through the eyes of the unemployed actor Charlie, played by Tim Daly. The play takes a scathingly funny look at the sort of self-obsessed New Yorkers who pursue their own interests at the cost of their morality and their loyalty.

July 25 - August 10 BAREFOOT IN THE PARK By Neil Simon Directed by Jenn Thompson

The inspiration for many modern romantic comedies, the play tells the story of newlyweds Corrie and Paul as they move into their first apartment, a 5 story walk- up brownstone in Greenwich Village during the 60's.
