STRATTON - A 35 year-old employee of the the Day Spa at the Stratton Village at Stratton Mountain Ski Area has been place on paid administrative leave following charges of lewd and lascivious conduct. Acourt date has been set for March 12 in Windham Superior Court.

According to the Vermont State Police, on Jan. 27, the Winhall Police Department received a report of sexual misconduct by a male subject, who was identified as Ivan Boles, 35, of South Londonderry. Boles was identified as an employee of the Day Spa at the Stratton Village at Stratton Mountain Ski Area as a massage therapist. Due to the nature of the case, it was forwarded to the Vermont State Police for further investigation.

During the course of the investigation by detectives with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, it was learned that during a Swedish massage, administered by Boles while employed by the Day Spa at the Stratton Village at Stratton Mountain Ski Area, a female client was touched inappropriately on her breasts. The client reported the incident to the day spa staff and the complaint was forwarded on to law enforcement.

On Jan.29, after a thorough investigation, Boles was taken into custody at his residence in South Londonderry by the Vermont State Police, police said.

Boles was arrested and issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court to answer to the charges of Lewd and Lascivious Conduct at the Criminal Division on March 12 and was also released on Conditions of

In order to protect the victim and due to the nature of this case, the victim's name and information is not being released at this time.

Boles was placed on paid administrative leave from the Day Spa as soon as the report was made.
