MANCHESTER - The Southern Vermont Arts Center will open its 21st Annual Winter Members' Exhibition on Jan. 12 with a reception in the Yester House Galleries from 2-4 p.m. This exhibition is one of three shows throughout the year offered exclusively to Arts Center artist members.

Collectors and browsers alike eagerly anticipate this annual event. The diversity and quality of the works in this exhibition highlights the fact that an abundance of vibrant and talented artists flourish in the region.

More than 190 works of art will be on display representing 75 Arts Center member artists.

The range of two-dimensional media moves from the traditional; oil paint, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, photography, and woodcut to the more unique media of encaustic, monotype, lithograph and watercolor with gunpowder.

Exhibited sculptures range from bronze, wood, stainless steel, marble to stoneware and rubber. Some works use combinations of materials.
