LONDONDERRY - A student lounge has been added to Flood Brook's media center, complete with sectional sofa, gaming style chairs and a flat screen television connected to an Apple TV. This was made possible by years of book fairs and fundraising by Library Media Specialist, Darcy Perry.

Middle School students have been enjoying it during their independent algebra class and teachers use it for small groups instruction. Kids share work from their laptops to the Apple TV through the Wi Fi connection. This addition to the library has transformed the space into a learning commons where students can access all different kinds of media for their personal interests as well as academic work.

"Being comfortable really helps us study better and it feels like we are being rewarded for our work" say 7th graders Carly Gayda and Amanda Leili.
