According to the Vermont state Police, shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 30, Stacey Bonang, 45, of weston, called the State Police to report that her vehicle had just been stolen. Bonang was traveling on Route 11 in Londonderry when she encountered a female hitchhiking near the Mill Restaurant.
Bonang picked the female up and gave her a ride to the Londonderry Plaza. Bonang left the female alone in the vehicle when the female requested to make a private phone call. At this point the female locked the doors and drove off. Bonang's vehicle is a maroon 2013 Subaru Forester with Vermont registration FSH112.
Bonang described the female as 5'5" with a slender build, wearing a black jacket and dark hair tucked up into a hat. Jeans and boots with the jeans tucked into the boots. Bonang said that the woman was wearing glasses.
The stolen vehicle was located the following morning, crashed into a tree on Route 100 near Piper Hill Road, in Weston.
