MANCHESTER >> Green Mountain Academy will host a talk on civility in politics on Tuesday June 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Manchester Community Library. Professor James Calvin Davis of Middlebury College will discuss the 2016 presidential election cycle. It will go down in history for a number of reasons, but one of them surely will be the record levels of name-calling and nastiness. This lecture will use the current campaign as backdrop to morally imagine a healthier, more respectful, and more deliberative democracy. Registration for the talk is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. For more information or to register, call 802-867-0111 or visit
