MANCHESTER >> The Manchester Farmers Market has announced opening day of their 16th season will be Thursday, May 26.
The producer-only market is located in Adams Park, right in downtown Manchester Center. Vendors offer a great selection of local vegetables, fruits, breads, cheeses, meats, baked goods, prepared foods, and hand-made crafts. The market also features a variety of vegan and gluten-free foods. Everything is produced locally by the people who sell them, so customers are encouraged to ask vendors about the products they are selling.
This year we'll be hosting some great new farmers, crafters, and chefs, along with welcoming back some popular favorites. Some new faces this season include Wildwood Berry Farm, Tall Cat Coffee Roasters, Momma Marie Doggie Treats, and Filthy Farmgirl Soap, to name only a few. Folks will also be happy to see Earth Sky Time, True Love Farm, Clearbrook, Nana Kay's Bakery, and Consider Bardwell back for another season, along with many other favorites from last season.
Art Farm, an agriculture-inspired activity tent for kids, is starting up on June 16 this summer. Art Farm will be offering the popular Power of Produce Club for the second season to all kids aged 5-12 during the month of July. Each week, kids will be given a $2 coupon to use on any fruit or vegetable at the market. Beast if all, Art Farm and PoP Club are 100 percent free.
This year the market runs until Oct 6, and will be open every Thursday, rain or shine, from 3-6 p.m. in Adams Park (across from Gringo Jack's). They accept Debit, Credit, EBT, Crop Cash, and Farm to Family coupons. There is ample parking; look for the parking lot signs, or park on the street next to the market.
