MANCHESTER >> Help celebrate the 46th Annual Vermont Green Up Day on Saturday, May 7, by joining friends and neighbors at the Manchester Riverwalk.
Those interested should meet at the Friends of the Sun parking lot at 159 Depot Street from 10 a.m. to noon to help clean up along the banks of the Battenkill and the surrounding area. Bring a set of work gloves, sun screen and bug repellent. Drinks, snacks and trash bags will be provided.
This is a way to participate locally in a unique Vermont tradition while getting out to enjoy the beauty of the river. The Manchester Riverwalk is a non-profit organization which grew out of the Manchester 2020 visioning exercises held two years ago. The mission is to build, beautify and maintain public pathways along the river and enhance public access to this remarkable resource.
