MANCHESTER >> On Saturday, May 7, Maple Street School invites golfers to its 6th Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Maple Street School Scholarship Fund at the Equinox in Manchester.
The tournament raises money for the school's scholarship fund, which awards financial aid to more than 40 percent of current students. Last year, the tournament raised more than $7,000.
"The Maple Street Golf Tournament is such a fun way to get out and support a great cause," said Maple Street Head of School Fran Bisselle. "Many community members have made this tournament part of their regular calendar, and it's great to have their support and camaraderie each year."
The Maple Street Tournament's shotgun scramble start will be at 12:30. The registration fee of $125 includes greens fees for 18 holes of golf with cart, a mulligan, $5 in raffle and 50/50 tickets, on-the-course competitions and a hors d'oeuvre reception following play.
On the course, golfers will have the opportunity to win prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin. There will also be awards for first and second place teams. The school welcomes local businesses and individuals to partner as $200 hole and cart sponsors. Sponsorships are also available at other levels, which include play and sponsorship. Interested parties may contact Meredith Morin at (802) 362-7137.
All proceeds from this tournament will support our scholarship fund, which helps nearly 50 students attend Maple Street School. Need-based aid is offered to our families, ensuring educational access and diversity within our school community.
