David Sanger, an award-winning correspondent for the New York times, gave a talk about his work to a journalism class at Burr and Burton Academy.

MANCHESTER >> New York Times reporter David Sanger recently visited the Burr and Burton Journalism class of Ashley Frank and discussed Mr. Sanger's most recent book, "Confront and Conceal."

The class talked about the future of cyber warfare; the responsibilities of individual journalists and the institutions they work for; and the kind of detailed, patient, and important work that goes into a long-term, in-depth investigation.

Senior Catherine Burgess said "I thought Mr. Sanger gave a very engaging talk. I learned about the persistence of a journalist, and the amount of work it takes to get information from confidential sources. I also found it very interesting that he defines the work of a journalist to be "starting the uncomfortable conversations".
