The library's summer reading program runs into August and kids can register throghout the summer. After they register kids will receive a reading record. Each row on the reading record is the equivalent of two hours of reading. For every row that a child completes they will receive a raffle ticket from the library for the basket raffle.
Mark Skinner Library has also partnered with Mother Myrick's and the Northshire Bookstore this year. Kids who participate in the game board at Mother Myrick's and receive a silver ticket can bring that to the library and get a free raffle ticket. They may also bring that ticket to the Northshire Bookstore to receive a discount on books.
There will also be five gold tickets that children can win from Mother Myrick's. The winners of the gold tickets who bring it to the library will receive a 50th anniversary edition of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Children may also present the ticket at the Northshire Bookstore for a prize.
