Drawing on Eastern and Western influences, forms arise often as a surprise. In her artmaking, Panley attempts to connect with the viewer over the timeless, universal and natural. GetBalance Exercise Class 10 - 10:45 a.m. Tuesdays GetBalance features gentle and fun seated and standing rhythmic movement to increase balance and agility. Standing movements can be done supported or from a free-standing position. GetBalance is presented by Cornerstone Fitness and created and led by Chris Uchida: a personal trainer, past professional dancer, and licensed physical therapy assistant. Caregiver Support Group 3 p.m. Thursdays Elizabeth Fredland, LICSW, and Monica Knorr, MSW, both therapists at The Spicer Center in Manchester, are offering a 6-week support group for caregivers at Equinox Village. This group can be helpful for those who are providing care for aging parents, a spouse or a disabled child. "Education and the Free Market" Discussion with Rob Roper 4 - 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13. Roper is the president of the Ethan Allen Institute, Vermont's free market think tank. Since coming to Vermont in 1998 Rob has been actively involved in Vermont politics and policy with focus on educational issues and school choice. Roper also co-hosts the popular "Common Sense" program on Vermont Radio WDEV. He will lead a discussion on education and politics, framed as the contrast between people and groups solving their own problems versus the government collecting taxes and trying to solve the problem. Tony Conner's Flower Painting in Watercolor - with an Edge 11 a. m. - 12:30 p.m. Thursdays, April 10, 17, 24, May 1, 8, and 15. This class will focus on painting flowers in watercolor. In particular, we'll learn to use watercolor for accurately capturing the look of flowers and their unique and expressive edges.
