DORSET - Long Trail School inducted nine new members into the school's chapter of the National Honor Society on Dec. 16.

Students in grades 10-12 who have attended LTS for at least one year are eligible for consideration according to the national and school guidelines. Guest speaker and Dean of Faculty Jim Gedney addressed the audience with comments about his own induction's significance and how the pillars of NHS - leadership, scholarship, service, and character - align with Long Trail's core values.

The following students are newly inducted: Seniors Eily Anderson, Isaiah Barnard, Collin Campagne, Angela Krieg, and Elaine Li; junior Rocky Ye; sophomores Bethany Marsfelder, Nick Mihailovic, and Rebecca van Burken. They join Andrea Ameden, Jill Brooks, Nellie Burch, Katy Czar, Garrett Hastings, Kit LeFevre, Hannah Phelps, Angelia Powers, Catie Owen and Dehlia Squillante. Long Trail is proud of all of its students. Twenty-eight percent of its eligible students are involved in NHS.
