MANCHESTER - The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department will be holding Family Movie Night on Saturday, Dec. 14, beginning at 3 p.m. There will be a screening of "The Polar Express" featuring: Tom Hanks, Chris Coppola, and Michael Jeter.

This is the story of a young hero boy on Christmas Eve who boards on a powerful magical train that's headed to the North Pole and Santa Claus's home. What unfolds is an an adventure which follows a doubting boy, who takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole; during this ride, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery which shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.

There will be chairs available, but those planning to attend may bring their own as well as other items like blankets and refreshments if they so desire. The event is free and open to the public. Children 12-years-old and up may be dropped off.
