MANCHESTER - The 4th Annual celebration of "Manchester Merriment" sponsored by the Manchester and the Mountains Regional Chamber of Commerce kicked off on Nov. 30 with the Manchester town trelighting.

The Main Street Lighted Tractor and Float Parade - a major highlight - steps off from the Dorr Farm on Dec. 7 at 5:15 p.m.

The tractor parade features the Springfield Marching Band and floats from our regional non-profit organizations with Santa and Mrs. Claus making a special appearance. Vermont's Commissioner of Tourism and Marketing is this year's Parade Grand Marshal.

Arlington will hold its tree lighting on Dec. 7. On Dec. 14, at St. James Church in Arlington, the St. Lucia Festival of lights will be held.

The annual Holiday Inn Tours on Dec. 7 and 14 will feature 15 inns and lodgings across the region dressed in their holiday best. Tune up your voices and jump on board our annual horse and wagon rides with Dave Lively of Lively Livery on Dec. 7 and 14 as we merrily sing through Manchester Village.

Don't miss the second annual Elf Express on Dec. 21.

Special thanks go to presenting sponsor Orvis. Supporting sponsors are Cape Air, Efficiency Vermont, The Perfect Wife, Spiral Press Cafe and Vermont Renewable Fuels and dozens of local business who are Merry Makers.
