Painted by renowned and local muralist, Kimberley Ray, the mural memorializes an historic Vermont tradition which continues today - where residents throw open their barn doors, invite neighbors in and dance into the wee hours.
In this spirit, the public is invited to witness the unveiling, enjoy some hot cider and chat with members of the community.
The mural is a donation from the area's Blue Flames Steel Band.
Framing at Butch Jelley's Deli is a gift from R.H. Adams, Inc. and ownership of the mural goes to The Londonderry Arts & Historical Society.
In the event of rain, the celebration after the unveiling will take place in the Art Studio/Gallery in the Mountain Marketplace.
