This past June, Burr and Burton Academy hosted Manchester's first TEDx event with the support of many local people and businesses. TEDxManchesterVillage, attended by nearly 200 people, was a day spent exploring the 'Future of Creativity' with compelling speaker presentations, TEDtalks on the big screen and a post-event networking reception at the Wilburton Inn sponsored by Vermont's Agency of Commerce and Community Development. Ellenbogen and Pace hope - with help and participation from the Manchester community - to build upon the success and energy of Manchester's first TEDx event.
The organizers of the event are extending an invitation to anyone who is motivated and interested in joining the preliminary planning process. While a specific day has yet to be determined, the process will begin at the end of September at a Manchester venue to be announced.
Those interested in participating and helping the organizers select a date for the first meeting should RSVP by Monday, Sept. 16, and take a survey online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QHZ8QDC. Those interested may also email the organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org to request meeting information and a link to the survey, call Ellenbogen at (802) 768-8498 or Pace at (802) 362-6440.
