GetBalance Exercise Class
10 - 10:45 a.m. on Tuesdays
GetBalance features gentle and fun seated and standing rhythmic movement to increase balance and agility. Standing movements can be done supported or from a free-standing position. GetBalance is presented by Cornerstone Fitness and created and led by Chris Uchida: a personal trainer, past professional dancer, and licensed physical therapy assistant. The cost is $15 per class for the general public, $10 per class for Cornerstone Fitness Clinic members, and free for Equinox Village residents. Tai Chi for Seniors

Rich Marantz of Green Mountain Tai Chi leads interested seniors toward health and happiness using the methods and philosophies of Tai-chi chuan, Qigong and traditional Chinese external-qi healing. Chair Yoga with Anna

Certified Yoga instructor Anna Bushee leads this relaxing class. She completed her training at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis. Exercises in this class are done from a seated or supported standing position. The class is free for residents of Equinox Village.
SVMC's Hospice Program

Art Class: Drawing by Gesture

Instructor Tony Conner will guide students through a class that emphasizes capturing the important essence of the subject, rather than the exact details and proportions.Participants will work with charcoal paper and work from direct observation of traditional still life objects, floral arrangements and perhaps even the clothed human figure. Class participants may bring their own materials or use those provided by the instructor for an additional fee. The class fee is $50. The optional materials fee is $10. Veteran's Services Talk

Dr. Peter King, medical director of the Bennington Veteran's Administration Clinic, will be here to speak to veterans, their families and guests. He will talk about services offered at the local VA Clinics in Rutland, Bennington and White River Junction. It's also an introductory meeting for any to meet him, as he is a practicing family medicine physician. Wendy Ottaviano will be joining him to answer any eligibility-related questions.
Chronic Pain Workshop

Free help for people with a primary diagnosis of chronic pain. Chronic pain affects more Americans than diabetes, heart disease, and cancer combined. However, pain doesn not have to control a person's life. They can take control of their symptoms with humor and grace and feel better. Helicopter Rescue Pilot and Author Presents

During the course of a 30 year career in helicopter rescue, Col. Edward Fleming, led scores of high-risk missions, including rescue operations during the Halloween Storm of 1991 described in motion picture "The Perfect Storm" and the successful rescue of Dr. Jerri Nielsen from Antarctica.
