MANCHESTER - The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department and Pond Hill Stables in Castleton will be offering a week-long horsemanship camp from August 12 to 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department will offer an early drop off and late pick up option from 8 to 9 a.m. and from 4 to 5 p.m. at no additional cost. Participants ages eight and up can register for the camp at the Manchester Parks and Recreation Department. The program will offer lessons in either English or Western Riding and general horsemanship lessons. Campers will meet in the Activity Room at the New Park House at 9 a.m., travel to Pond Hill Stables, and arrive back at the Activity Room around 3 p.m. to end their day with a swim in the pool. The cost of the program is $235 for residents and $275 for nonresidents. Transportation will be provided, and campers will need to bring a lunch, wear a shoe or boot with a heel, wear long pants and pack a suit and towel. Helmets will also be provided.
