The Seeds, Shovels, Buckets and Boots Festival kicks off with an Italian-inspired sampling at The Barrows House in Dorset, Friday, May 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Nardozzi remembers growing up an Italian-American family in Connecticut and helping his grandma harvest dandelion greens, tomatoes and potatoes.
Based on the cookbook by the same name, Nardozzi will explore some common and uncommon vegetables for Italian cooking, offering organic growing tips and surprising recipes to try at home. Charlie Nardozzi is a nationally recognized garden writer, speaker, radio, and television personality.
The Barrows House will prepare cuisine that will complement Nardozzi's talk and slideshow. There will be an opportunity to meet Charlie and ask him any questions. Tickets will cost $35 and will be available at the Chamber office at 39 Bonnet Street, Manchester Center, VT or by contacting (802) 362-6313.
