MANCHESTER - Equinox Village will be hosting a number of events in the near future. Here is the schedule of events.

GetMoving Exercise Class 9 - 10 a.m. on Tuesdays. GetMoving is a dynamic, comprehensive fitness class for active seniors, especially those that may have conditions, injuries, or a lack of experience. This is a lively workout to reclaim and maintain vitality.

Participants should wear sneakers and bring an exercise mat. GetMoving is presented by Cornerstone Fitness and created and led by Chris Uchida: a personal trainer, past professional dancer, and licensed physical therapy assistant. The cost of the class is $15 per class for the general public, $10 per class for Cornerstone Fitness Clinic members, and free for Equinox Village residents. GetBalance Exercise Class 10 - 10:45 a.m. on Tuesdays. GetBalance features gentle and fun seated and standing rhythmic movement to increase balance and agility. Standing movements can be done supported or from a free-standing position. Tai Chi for Seniors 10 a.m. on Thursdays. Rich Marantz of Green Mountain Tai Chi leads interested seniors toward health and happiness using the methods and philosophies of Tai-chi chuan, Qigong and traditional Chinese external-qi healing. Chair Yoga with Ali 2 - 2:45 p.m. on Fridays. Certified Yoga instructor Ali Wassick hopes to teach her students to breathe, relax, and be present. She completed her training at Yoga Vermont in Burlington in 2006. Her teaching style is inspired by Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara, and Restorative Yoga. Gallery Opening Event: Nature Photographer Mattew Lerman 5 - 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 21. Come and enjoy an evening of art, live music and hors d'oeuvres prepared by the Equinox Village culinary team. The event is free and open to the public. Managing Arthritis of the Foot and Ankle 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 21. Southwestern Vermont Medical Center's Dr. Deborah Henley will address an audience about how to manage arthritis of the foot and ankle. For more information, contact Marie at (802) 362-4061.

The Easy Way to Watercolor 11 a. m. - 12:30 p.m. Thursdays March 28, April 4, 11 and 18. For those who are new to watercolor or have some experience with watercolor but still find it difficult, this class from Instructor Tony Conner can help. Success in watercolor painting hinges on getting a handle on a few fundamental skills. This class will focus on learning and developing those skills while creating several paintings in the process. Classes are free for Equinox Village residents and $50 for members of the public.
