STRATTON - On Saturday, March 16th, the Stratton Foundation will present Diana Stugger with the Emo Henrich Award.

The presentation will take place at Bentley's at the Stratton Mountain Inn and will begin at 4:30 p.m.

The annual Emo Henrich Award is presented by the Foundation to an individual who, in the tradition of Emo Henrich, made significant contributions to the quality of life in the Stratton community.

Stugger epitomizes graciousness, kindness, professionalism, and the community is all the better for the myriad of contributions made by her over the years.

Stugger and her husband Walter moved to Stratton from West Dover in 1987, after years of visiting Stratton for tennis, skiing and Austrian fare at the Birkenhaus. With the sale of the Carinthia Ski area, the Stuggers relocated to the top of North Brookwood on Stratton and Diana began a successful real estate career. Diana is one of the top brokers today at Vermont Country Properties and has introduced many families to the mountain she and Walter call home.

From 2005 to 2012, Diana served on the South Central VT Board of Realtors, as secretary, president elect and president. She was awarded the SCVBR Realtor of Year recognition in 2007.

Diana's civic involvement includes assisting with the establishment of the Winhall Stratton Fire District and serving on its board. Diana was also elected to the Stratton town select board and serves as moderator for the annual town meeting. She is also a member of the ZBA.

A board member of both the Dorset Theatre Festival and the Opera Theatre of Weston, Diana's expertise as an actress and a stage director has benefited legions of audiences in southern Vermont. After a successful early stage career in New York, Diana transferred her talents to Vermont and has performed in numerous theatre productions as well as wearing her directors hat for the Annual OTW full scale opera as well as a school version that is seen by over 3,000 Vermont students.

Diana has a long standing and devoted history with the Stratton Foundation.

During the early years, she was an engaged and productive board member and served three years as president of the Stratton Foundation Board. Since the 1996 establishment of the community-based non-profit, Diana has volunteered for just about every Foundation event or program and has given many hours to the Stratton Archives Collection. Recently, Diana returned for a second shift on the Foundation board to lend her enthusiasm, experience and passion as the Stratton Foundation moves towards its second decade.
