MANCHETER - Essie Cruikshank celebrated her 100th birthday on March 7 at Equinox Terrace, an assisted living community in Manchester Center.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on the same week the Women's Suffragists Marched on Pennsylvania Ave in Washington, D.C.

She has survived the Great Depression, World Wars I and II, and has lived well into the 21st century.

Cruikshank has a love fof golf, gardening and tennis, while she no longer plays golf she has switched to weekly art lessons. The Equinox Terrace family and community would like to wish Cruikshank a wonderful 100th birthday.
