Blues Sanctuary has wowed audiences with its infectious Chicago-style blues since it formed as a trio in 2002.
As the band evolved and expanded over the past decade, it has included renowned local musicians Jeff Bentley on bass, Albany's "Wunderkind Bluesmaster" Matt Mirabile on guitar and the always-soulful blues guitarist Greg Bird.
Following its 2008 "Colossal Contender" award win, the group proudly represented the Northeast Blues Society in 2009 at the 25th-Annual International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tenn. Here, in this largest gathering of blues bands in the world, Blues Sanctuary advanced to the semifinals.
