MANCHESTER - March is "Meet the Makers" month at Fresh Market. The public is invited to meet and greet talented, local food producers and taste and celebrate this interesting community of food.

On Sunday, March 3 from 12 to 3 p.m., visit Kelli Michaels of Nana Kay's and sample bakery recipes for everyday and special occasions. Learn how Nana Kay's came to be - from grandma's recipe book and Kelli's design desk.

On Saturday, March 9, from 12 to 3 p.m. meet Crystal Gardner from Hill Top Farm, a second generation, certified organic dairy farm in Pownal which produces all-natural beef, pork and maple syrup. Ask Crystal about the different cuts of all-natural beef and tell her your recipe designs.

On Saturday, March 23 from 12 to 3 p.m. 'Two Guys from Vermont' will be visiting from Stowe, sampling their fresh and local soups.

Why do you want to meet them? Totally delicious food products. Why do we love them? Because they've used 14,000 pounds of local vegetables since they opened in 2010.
