ARLINGTON - The 17th Annual Running of the Turkeys 5K road race and walk will be held on Thursday, Nov. 22 at 9 a.m. (Thanksgiving morning) at Fisher Elementary School in Arlington.

Online registration is at http://www.active.com/running/arlington-vt/running-of-the-turkeys-2012.

Pre-race registration and packet pick-up will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 21, from 5-7 p.m. at the Arlington Community House.

Race day registration begins at 7:45 at the school, located on East Arlington Road. Race proceeds will benefit the Batten Kill Valley Runners scholarship program.

The scenic 3.1 mile course winds around rural and village roads in East Arlington and was voted the most scenic Thanksgiving Day race in southwestern Vermont.
