"The first class, 'Learn to Draw I,' was very popular. So many people registered we had to turn some away," said Equinox Village's Executive Director Kirt Sampson. "We are happy to have Tony take those students to the next level."
The upcoming classes will cover the following topics:
Sketching and Drawing the Clothed Model
Students will work with pencil and charcoal on large sheets of paper to sketch and draw clothed models. For those who have begun learning to draw, drawing the human figure is a good next step in developing drawing skills. The class is $50 for the public. There is a $15 fee for the model and materials.
10 - 11:30 a.m.
Thursdays, Sept. 13, 20, 27 and Oct. 4.
Mixed Media Painting with Collage
Students will use traditional materials, along with torn paper and fabric to create what will likely be abstract works. It will be fun and freeing without the pressure of doing or painting something the "right way." The class is $50 for the public.

Thursdays, Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 8, and 15.
Drawing The Human Face in Conte Crayon on Toned Paper
Students will focus on the human face from a model using toned (colored) paper with
10 - 11:30 a.m.
Thursdays, Nov. 29, Dec. 6, 13, and 20.
Each class includes four sessions. Students may register for four sessions at a time for $50 or drop in (as space allows) for individual classes for $15. All of the proceeds from the classes go directly to the instructor. In some cases, there is an additional fee for the model that will be used during the class.
