Oil paintings by Sunderland artist Judy Cotter will be featured at the Canfield Gallery in Arlington. The exhibit, titled "As I See It," will be on view from Sept. 4 through Sept. 28.

A graduate of Skidmore College with a major in Art, Cotter has also studied at the Silvermine Guild School of the Arts and participated in a "One-on-One" monthly seminar led by Robert Reed, Professor, Yale Graduate School, and at Bennington College in several of their "Art New England" programs. She has exhibited at the Southern Vermont Art Center, Stratton Arts Festival, Art in the Round Barn in Waitsfield, and "Art of the Northeast" at the Silvermine Guild in Connecticut.

The public is invited to the opening reception on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 3 to 5 p.m. The gallery is located in the Martha Canfield Memorial Library in Arlington. For more information and library hours, call 375-6153.
