One of the important parts of the Race for the Cure are the race teams. Rally around a friend just diagnosed or a survivor and help with fund-raising by forming a race team. For more information about forming a team, go to www.komenvtnh.org.
Last year, 68 teams raised a total of $64,144, and 54 percent of the Race's total registrants, more than half of all participants, were Team Members.
Teams co-chair Linda Maness said, "If an employer will pay for all or part of the registration fees, the Team Captain and all its members can register online using a discount code. The team captain will need to contact me at 5973vt@gmail.com or 802-325-3603 to request a discount code and once approved the code may be used by the team captain to register team members online. Without the discount code team members will need to enter their own payment information."
Visit komenvtnh.org for more information and to register, online registrations are open until midnight on July 26. Register in person at Hildene Meadows on River Road in Manchester on Friday, July 27, between 1 to 6 p.m. or on Race Day, Saturday, July 28, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
