MANCHESTER - Mark Silvers and Sean Gobin of the Warrior Hike will be the guests of VFW Post 6471 on Thursday, June 28, at 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend. The VFW of Manchester is donating $2,500 to the Warrior Hike project.

Warrior Hike is a non-profit fund-raising effort to help wounded veterans. Silvers and Gobin are Marines who have recently returned from Afghanistan and will hike the 2,180 miles of the Appalachian Trail in order to raise money to purchase adaptive vehicles for veterans who have suffered multiple amputations during combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
