MANCHESTER CENTER — Angling and Art Along the Mettowee, the second annual art auction to benefit the American Museum of Fly Fishing, will be held on Saturday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m. This event free and open to the general public.
This year's auction will celebrate the rich history of the Mettowee River and feature artists that make their homes along its banks or those that feature the river and the surrounding valley's unique beauty in their work.
This auction will have something for every art lover with starting prices that are affordable and works from many genres: from oils to pastels, landscapes to collage, three dimensional mounted wood sculptures, and slate work.
Participating artists include Yoshi Akiyama, Jim Becker, Josh Burlette, Phillipa Cully, Dona Friedman, Gary Fifer, Thomas Kerr, Erika Schmidt, Brian Sweetland, Virginia McNeice, George VanHook, and Helen Young. The artists who created the work will be in attendance.
