To the Editor:

When events happen in the Northshire Community, there are the quiet individuals who fuel the events, which lead to success. I wish to publicly thank the Thanksgiving Community Dinner Committee for their unselfish time and endless energy.

As the Committee Members entered a new path, there was a need to reach out to the Northshire Community. The community of businesses and organizations greeted the idea of a free Thanksgiving Community Dinner with open generosity. Volunteers, too many to mention, stepped forward to answer the call to: peel potatoes, cook and carve turkeys, donate pies as well serve the Thanksgiving Guests. As one part of our Community opened its generous gifts to so many, those enjoying the fruits of their labor raved about the kind hearts as well as delicious meal set before them.

Along with the Committee Members, I wish to publicly thank the following: Shaws Super Market, Price Chopper Super Market, Hannaford Super Market Mother Myrick, GNAT-TV, Village Picture Show, New Interfaith Council, The Lions Club, Parishioners of Christ Our Savior Parish, Catholic Daughters, Knights of Columbus, Dutton Farm, Maplefields, Vermont Kitchen Supply, Boy Scouts, Wilcox Ice Cream, Red Dot Communications, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lee, Chantecleer Restaurant, Manchester Journal, Vermont News Guide, Karl Kirchoff, Sherrie's Cafe, Ellen Maloney, Jim and Carey Goodwin, Arthur and Margo McKenna, Joe and Dottie Ferone, Mr. & Mrs. Jack and Jean Morris, Bob and Eleanora Devenish, Louis and Marie Zoufaly, and Ann Taft. Thank you,

Ed Sossi
