ARLINGTON -- A motorcycle collided with another vehicle that failed to yield the right of way while turning left in Arlington on Saturday.

The accident occurred at approximately 4:36 p.m. and resulted in the motorcycle's operator, 44-year-old Eric Broderson, of Shaftsbury, being transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center with minor injuries, according to police.

State Police said witness statements and road evidence showed that the operator of a 2007 Toyota Camry, Howard Guber, 75, of Kennesaw, Ga., was traveling north on Vermont Route 7A when he attempted to make a left turn in front of Broderson.

Broderson attempted to stop but was unable to and lost control of the motorcycle, a 2009 KMT, which slid into the rear passenger side of Guber's vehicle as Broderson hit the pavement.
