MANCHESTER - The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department is organizing the 21st Annual Chili Challenge and Silent Auction. For the past 21 years, The Chili Challenge has been the centerpiece of the Manchester Parks and Recreation Department fund-raising efforts. The Fund is an essential piece to providing recreational opportunities for the youth of Manchester that could otherwise not afford to participate in the many programs that the MPR Department offers.

This year "wings" are being introduced to complement the challenge.Those interested are asked to enter their chili, meatless macaroni and cheese, and or wing recipes in the Town's Annual Chili Challenge.

The 21st Annual Chili Challenge and Silent Auction is slated for Thursday, Feb. 7 at The Equinox Resort from 5-8 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Pan Handlers Steel Band. Last winter there were over 20 restaurants and individuals showcasing their homemade chili or mac and cheese. Admission is $6 per person and free for children eight-years-old and under.
