The victory, featuring a goal in each half, wrapped up a 14-0 regular season for the Bulldogs, who should take the No. 1 seed into the Division II playoffs next week.
Johnny Weeks and Andrew Gayda offered the assists. Goalkeeper Mike Nolan made eight saves.
Phantoms stun Eagles
ARLINGTON -- Ashley Cook converted a penalty kick with a little over a minute remaining to lift Proctor to a 2-1 win against Arlington Memorial High School.
Now unbeaten in the last 30 games, the Phantoms (13-0-1) were a goal away from defeat after Rayleen Sherman crossed to Molly Elwell for the tying goal with six minutes left in regulation.
Arlington (8-4-1) fell to Proctor, 8-1, in their first meeting this year, but did far better Thursday in another rematch of last year's Division IV state final. The Eagles held Phantom freshman sensation Abby McKearin scoreless thanks to the defensive work of Mazie Holton and Becca Solari.
"It shows we can beat anybody, we just need to play our game," Sherman said. "We're hoping to see them again. I want to."
