ROUNDABOUT ETIQUETTE

With the opening of the new button roundabout and the anticipated larger one later this fall, here are a few reminders for safe driving.

1. Slow down. Roundabouts are safe since vehicles should be moving slowly and no more than 15 mph.

2. Yield.

Yield to traffic already in the roundabout. When trucks and buses are entering, give them more room to maneuver.

3. Do not stop in the roundabout. Once you are in the roundabout, your vehicle has the right of way to all incoming traffic except emergency vehicles.

4. Enter and exit on the right. Always signal when exiting.

5. If you miss your roundabout exit, just go around again and exit safely.
